Wyeth Nutrition Statement on Milk Donation

As we face the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, we understand our consumers’ growing concerns for the health and safety of their family. We take this opportunity to remind our consumers of the provision in the Philippine Milk Code (E.O. 51) which strictly prohibits infant milk manufacturers from supplying milk.

Section 6. The General Public and Mothers

Manufacturers and distributors shall not be permitted to give, directly or indirectly, samples and supplies of products within the scope of this Code or gifts of any sort to any member of the general public, including members of their families, to hospitals and other health institutions, as well as to personnel within the health care system, save as otherwise provided in this code.

Wyeth Nutrition continues to uphold and protect the Philippine Milk Code, which intends to encourage breastfeeding, intensify the dissemination of information on breastfeeding and proper nutrition, and regulate the advertising, marketing, and promotion including donation of breastmilk substitutes and other products. It is for this reason that we regretfully cannot grant any requests for milk supply.

We would like to assure our consumers that we are doing our part in providing resources urgently needed by frontliners in healthcare facilities. As a company driven by our purpose to nourish heathier tomorrows for Filipino families, we at Wyeth Nutrition will continue to do our utmost to ensure that mothers have access to our products especially in these trying times.
